NO Scrum Master Sessions are scheduled at this time.

When the next one is set you can become Certified as a Scrum Master in a highly interactive workshop delivered by a nationally recognized expert here in GR. Attendees will receive everything they need to successfully pass the longer and more difficult Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) Exam. This course will make it easier for students who wish to become certified as a Scrum Master by taking a class locally.

The next session will be listed here when it is scheduled.

Course outline :

Scrum Overview & History
What is Scrum and why should we care?

Scrum Theory
Why does Scrum work and what are its core principles?

Scrum Examples
How and where is Scrum being successfully used?

Scrum Framework and Meetings
How Scrum theory is implemented using time-boxes, roles, rules, radiators and artefacts. How are these used effectively and how can they fall apart?

Scrum and Change
Scrum is different: where does it fit and what does this mean to my project and my organization? How do I best adopt Scrum given the change that is expected?

Scrum Teams
Scrum Teams are self-organizing, self-managed, self-governed, persistent and cross-functional; this is different from traditional development groups. How do we start with Scrum teams and how do we ensure their success?

Scrum Planning
Methods and difficulties.

Scrum Metrics
Scrum is empirical so how can predictions be made, risk be controlled, and progress be tracked using Scrum? Predictability, risk management, reporting issues.

Scaling Scrum
Scrum works great with one team. It can also work for projects or product releases that involve hundreds or thousands of globally dispersed team members. However, many organizations are experiencing great pain trying to scale Scrum. We will show a simple framework that when it is used properly, from our experience, scaling is best accomplished.

Test Taking Hacks and Tips
Students will receive advice on how to pass this 80 question exam (which must be completed in an hour and has a 35% fail rate) on the first try.

By the way, once you pass the exam, Microsoft® uses the PSM I assessment (exam) to validate your knowledge as part of its Silver and Gold Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) competencies.
